The Coalition represents the moral, social, political and economical consciousness of Canada by its constant intervention on behalf of those who have no voice, the poor , the disadvantaged, the unemployed, the marginalized and, victims of an unjust system. Also the Coalition defends Black and other Cultural communities which are often the targets of injustice and discrimination. The Coalition is a powerful voice for those who require assistance addressing administrative concern i.e. workplace injustices and those who are victimized.

Our Objectives
- To defend the rights and interests of the Black Community.
- To provide the instrument through which education is used as a vehicle to gain respect as citizens with equal rights.
- To sensitize governments, the public, para-public and private sector of the importance of giving equal opportunities to all citizens regardless of race, religious belief or place of origin.
- Increase opportunities for Black talents in the entertainment and communication industries.
- To defend all peoples who are victims of injustice and abuse of power by authorities.
Serving the community from 1969
Over the years the Black Coalition has progressed by creating links with other organizations and has broadened the areas which it offers support to better serve the community. The Coalition analyzes and referees some of the complaints to different governmental bodies such as the Police, Human Rights and the Quebec labour Commissions. Further the Coalition has established, specialized groups and organizations which are capable of addressing specific community needs. To mention just a few:
